Craft & Atelier

The slower, better way we make jewelry.

If you've ever wondered why a single piece takes us 2-4 weeks from order to ship, this is the answer.

Design

Every piece is drawn in our Milan studio, iterated in wax, and wear-tested on the team for 30 days before it ever reaches production. If it catches sweaters, if the post feels heavy by dinner, if the clasp needs two hands to open — it goes back to the drawing board.

Casting

We cast in small batches. Our recycled brass and recycled sterling silver alloys are melted in an induction furnace, poured into the mold, then cooled overnight.

Hand-finishing

This is where most of the work happens. Each piece is hand-filed, hand-polished, stamped with its material hallmark, and inspected. A single signet ring spends about 40 minutes in the hands of our finishers.

Plating

For vermeil pieces, we electroplate 2.5μ of solid 18K gold — 5× the industry average. Plated pieces are cured overnight, then polished again.

QC

Before any piece ships, it's inspected by a human: clasp tension, solder joints, plating evenness, stone setting, engraving clarity. Fail on any, and it goes back.

Packaging

Pieces ship in our signature kraft box with an ivory cotton pouch and a hand-written card. No plastic. All FSC-certified paper, recyclable.

Why we work this way

You can absolutely make jewelry faster. You can skip the wax prototype, thin the plating, automate the QC. The result looks the same on a phone screen and wears through in two years. We'd rather take a month and make something you'll wear in ten.
